Attorney Cydney Mayfield joined Lauber Municipal Law, LLC, in 2017 and practices in the areas of general municipal law, regulation and compliance of water and sewer systems, litigation, government relations and legislative drafting, appearances before the Missouri Public Service Commission and appellate work. Cydney is also a registered lobbyist in the State of Missouri. Prior to joining Lauber Municipal Law, LLC, Cydney worked as the Deputy Counsel for the Office of the Public Counsel and as Senior Counsel with the Missouri Public Service Commission focusing on issues surrounding investor owned water and sewer systems, electrical companies, and gas utilities. During her tenure with the Office of the Public Counsel Cydney was the lead attorney on the Empire Electric District and Liberty Utilities merger, worked closely with the Department of Natural Resources and the Division of Energy, and assisted in the drafting of several pieces of legislation impacting regulated utilities. In addition, she has served as the city attorney for the cities of Syracuse, Pilot Grove, and Otterville, Missouri. In her role as city attorney, she has provided legal advice to the planning and development, human resources, administration, purchasing, water and sewer utilities, police, and city library departments. Cydney split her time growing up between Peculiar, Missouri and Otterville, Missouri. She currently lives in the Boonville area with her husband, Christopher, and her son Dalton.
